What percentage does a property management company take to rent your condo?

I wanted to clarify that we are thinking of going with an actual property management company that collects rent, does leases, and property maintenance on an ongoing basis. Not just a realtor to find a tenant.

    usually one months rent?

Usually 10% of all rents. My property management company does not charge an upfront fee, but I as a landlord pay for all advertising costs when they place ads to rent my houses. Some companies will take a full or half months rent upon locating a tenant as well. Using a good property mgmt co will save you a great deal of aggravation – using a bad one will be far more hassle than they are worth. Best of luck -

I have used several property management companies and I have paid out between 10 and 20 percent depending on what duties they performed. None of them were worth the money. I am now using an online property management software you may want to take a look at to save some money…
