Rental Property?

I just recently place a home I’ve lived in for the past four (4) years on the market as a leasing property. In dependability my homework I know record keeping is essential and am plotting to open up a seperate checking or saving account, specifically for this leasing property. Can anyone give me advice on how the account should be titled or is this really irrelevant. Would it be ok to have the account titled “My name – Leasing Property”? Just curious. Thanks.

More appropriately the street address-leasing property would e better, but first discuss it with your bank.

Maybe you should talk to your Professional Tax Self that does your other Tax work. Then you’ll be starting off on the right foot.

See a tax professional about the possible disorder and federal tax implications. Without knowing the specifics of your situation, it is really simple to give terrible advice on this.

But, your should also read your disorder’s statutes regarding residential tenancies (renting houses). There may be equipment you are required by law to do with the deposit, and the statutes can give you a excellent thought about your rights and responsibilities as a landlord. There may be local ordinances that will change you as well.

My husband and I have taken on leasing properties and we also flip homes in our emergency time. We really started an L.L.C. to protect from lawsuites and such. We used our names.
