Do i have to pay property tax penalty if management pays tax late on a co-op?

I own a co-op on nassau new york,management payed property tax late and i received abill for $3000.I refused to pay,but i was thraten with eviction and repossess of co-op ,i pay the rent on time each month.Thanks.

    It depends on the terms of your contract. The disorder/county doesn’t care about terms you have with a management agency though. If you missed the date they were due (even if through no fault of your own) they still expect to get them. They’re also not like a confidential company hwre you might get the penalties waived. They’re a broadcast agency who represen the broadcast appeal so won’t generally give a waiver of late fees.

    This sucks but you’re probably stuck paying a penalty to the agency even if you’re not at fault.

    Take it up with the management.
