Working as a receptionist at a Real Estate Property Management Company?

I have an opportunity to interview for a receptionist position at a Real Estate property management company and was wonderering what type of business hours do these companies usually have? This is not an apartment complex. They manage some commercial properties, residential, and they invest in real estate. Does anyone know if this type of job would include weekends and evenings as I am looking for a monday thru friday job working days? They called me and left a message but I have not called back yet because I don’t want to just come out as question if it’s Monday thru Friday work. Anyone have any info I would be grateful for it. Thanks!

How do I approach a management company about negotiating a lower rent for a property that seems overpriced?

I found a property that is the perfect size and location for my family but doesn’t seem too well managed, fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms don’t seem to have been updated in at least 20 years and the place will need a deep cleaning before we go in even though they are saying it is go-in equipped. I don’t know anything about the owners but it is managed by Orange County Property Management in Huntington Beach, CA. The place has been vacant for at least 2 months and there are a ton of other properties in the area that are sitting vacant also. Some go quicker than others. The rent they are asking is $1850 and I’d like to pay closer to $1650-$1700. Is that evenhanded? How do I approach them about it? We have not yet applied for the leasing but we have excellent credit, are married with one child, and have perfect leasing history. We can probably get a letter of sanction from our current landlord as well.
It’s really only a 10% decrease but I’d be pleased with a 5% decrease. The thing is that they are bringing up the rear money everyday that it sits vacant and I don’t reckon it’s vacant to go anywhere when similarly priced rentals that are in better shape aren’t fillng up. The leasing market is really flooded and no one is moving.

Do they have lawyers to fight Property Management Apartment Rentals?

5 years ago my family and us lived in a property management place and they give you a contract to sign when you go in, but my family only lived there for 9 months and chose to go. The reason for the go was becasue we had terriable nieghbors and I was 8 months pregnant with my 3rd child and I may possibly not handle the stress of it all. I had written a letter but was not sure if they had recieved it. So, we now are trying to restore our credit and it shows that I owe this STUPID place 5000 dollars which I did not even question for there deposit back they charged me for the full year and other wacked out fees–which it was not right. The only reason why we went was becasue the stress I was having—I was 8 months pregnant. We were never late on payments and even dealt with the manager, but they really couldn’t do anything becasue the other renters have lived there longer and were giving us a lot of distress. SO I NEED HELP TO FIGHT THIS DEBT that I feel is EXTREMELY unfair.

has anyone ever heard of IFV Property Management?

I recently sent my resume online to a posting for a security guard job. I just got an email back from them, saying i needed to fill out an online app first. the company name was IFV Property Management, I googled but couldn’t find anything on them. Anyways, the application seemed like any other companies app, but then they wanted me to fill out a credit report through Nationalcreditreport.com, which would include having to give my credit card number and info.

I didn’t do it because I was sceptical about the whole thing, I guess I’m just wondering if this is a legitimate job and/or company that anyone has heard of.

THANKS

should I sign a lease with property management when they tell me the owner is not able to show up?

I rent a 1br in Brooklyn. it is my first time dealing with brokers in Brooklyn. I got approval from property management for 1br today. they want me to sign the lease on this coming Monday. I question to meet with title-holder in self when I sign lease. They told me the title-holder is not able to show up. I am wondering if I should sign the lease without title-holder’s name on the lease. Is there anything I should be cautious when I sign my lease? Is there anyone out there who have similar experience? Your opinion will be caring to me.

Is it illegal for a property management company to distribute a copy of a homeowners banking info w/o consent?

The Property Management Company for my condo disagreed with a memo note that I wrote on my check. The president of the company scanned the check into his computer, made a PDF file of the copy and distributed the file via email to numerous homeowners in the building. He did not blacken out my personal banking information from the check before distributing. Is this unlawful without my consent as there is now a minimum of 7 people in my building with my routing number, account number, bank name and copy of my signature?

Do you think that this Property Management was discriminatory?

Okay–this is what happened: My husband, our infant son, and myself were plotting on renting an apartment in a small Northern Californian city because we like the very low crime rate and fantastic schools–not to mention that my father really designed these apartment homes. I am originally from Northern California, but because of my husband’s immigration to The US, we have went around a bit–but just recently found ourselves back in my native Northern California, as we want to settle down here. Of the 4 times that we have went–we have never had a question about our credit–we don’t have the best credit, but it has always been leasing-worthy and has gotten better over the past 3 years. Well, this particular property management mentioned that the only way that we may possibly rent is if we had a co-signer. This is something that has never been requested of us–and our leasing history is brilliant. My husband and I believe that it might be the fact that he currently holds a Permanent Inhabitant (Green Card) and is an immigrant. We have since heard that the residents of this small town don’t like “Outsiders”.

What do you reckon?
Yes, I know that a credit review is standard–and it has never been an come forth…and my husband is here legally. We were just shocked about their requiring a co-signer, as this has never been questioned of us. ; )

How do you fire your property management company?

I am purchasing a townhome in a very excellent community at a fantastic price, but have learned that the management company the HOA association has been using is terrible. They don’t return calls, don’t complete work, don’t keep the property up as they should, and they receive horrible reviews from other residents in communities they manage. The fee is $100.00 a month that practically goes to nothing! I will not stand for this and as soon as I get in, plot on having them removed, but there is just no info on this and I have been advised the law seems to be on their side. How can this be accomplished?

How To Deal With A Controlling Property Management Company?

I am a condo title-holder and our building just recently brought in a potential hungry property management company who seem like they trying to run a dictatorship! They have already sent out two notes making threats to remove pets and threats of “building violations” being reported if found during maintenace work. I have lived in this building for over 15 years and am thought of moving because I can’t stand to be told what to do when I own my unit. Help! How can I get rid of this management company and bring in more propitious rules for condo owners??

Can I claim a Property Management Fee?

I own a home that I occupy 1/5th of. I have 4 other bedrooms that I rent out to roommates.
Can I “charge” a property management fee that I can enter off as an deprivation for my time, maintenance, and other equipment that were not specifically itemized?
I spend probably 10 + hours a week dependability stuff around the house that is due to having roommates and the upkeep involved.
If I were to hire a Property Management Company I may possibly enter that off.
Can I hire myself as the property manager and enter off my charges?
